Celebrity Gyms in LA: Fitness Factory and Body Maxx
Two Gyms Where Celebs Are Staying Fit
Many hot young stars in Hollywood — Nicole Richie, Kim Kardashian, Kirsten Dunst, and Molly Sims, to name a few — are currently addicted to the Tracy Anderson Method. After getting down and sweaty there myself, I can totally see why. But there are some famous faces, like Mila Kunis and Jessica Alba, who choose to hit up less trendy gyms to stay fit. Mila works out at Body Maxx (8474 W. 3rd St., Ste. 110, 323-655-8365) and Jessica Alba tones her pregnant bod at Fitness Factory (650 N. La Peer Dr., West Hollywood, 310-358-1838).
Mila's gym, Body Maxx, is a full fitness facility that gives each client a nutrition and body composition analysis, then based on that, creates a personalized diet and exercise program based on their goals. It's like having a personal trainer without having to pay the high cost. General membership is $250 a month, and if you do want one-on-one training, you can pay $90 for a one-hour session. Where Jessica sweats has a huge free weight area, group classes like martial arts and kettleball, and a fully equipped Pilates studio. It also boasts a boxing area, a classroom for kung fu, and even has free valet parking. The benefits to joining one of these gyms are twofold: a fit bod and fun celeb sighting opportunities.
