The Beverly Hills Hotel (9641 Sunset Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-276-2251) is no stranger to fashionable affairs — hello, the Oscars? — but last Saturday it hosted a major fashion moment: the 2011 Dorchester Collection fashion prize, which was open to ready-to-wear and accessories designers (Dorchester owns The Beverly Hills Hotel). In-the-know judges like Derek Blasberg, Giovanna Battaglia, Francisco Costa, and Marchesa's designers all flew to LA for the fashionable affair.
