The Painted Nail (13327 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, 818-783-2022) is the kind of place a girlie girl wants to live: purple walls, glam furniture, modern chandeliers, and all the glittery nail polishes you could ask for. The one-stop glam shop, as owner Katie Cazorla likes to refer to it, is part nail and hair salon with a clothing and jewelry boutique next door. It even has a party room upstairs with a stage, disco ball, and framed records that belong to boyfriend and Grammy award-winning record producer Walter Afanasieff. Throw in a free glass of wine or cappuccino while you get your gel manicure or vegan nail polish change, and it's completely livable. What makes this place all the more thrilling is that it's the subject of TV Guide's new reality show The Nail Files, which debuted on June 21.
