Say what's up to John Rankin Waddell — or simply Rankin in the photography world — a Brit who's snapped everyone from celebrities to refugees. While he calls London home, Rankin recently opened up an art studio in LA, Rankin Gallery (8070 Melrose Ave.). "I have always loved LA — like so many photographers and directors, it has a strong pull for me," he wrote on his website. "It is the unquestionable and true home of the industry I work in. The light, space and dynamic landscapes in and around the city make it the best place in the world to shoot. I am excited to finally have a base here." Stop by the new space to check out Rankin's latest exhibit spotlighting many of his celebrity snaps — Heidi Klum dipped in chocolate, Kate Winslet sticking her tongue out, and even some nude shots of Kate Moss — before it folds on July 23.
